Whatchu lookin at, bub?

I found this in Dubuque, Iowa last year. I think it's cool....

This magnificent specimen is a Black-Crowned Night Heron. He was good enough to pose for me while my son and I were at a Cub Scout event last year.
I call this one "Angel Under Glass" It a monument at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
I think I have a better pic of this somewhere. If I find it, I'll put it another post.

Yeesh....

I know why I don't journal now. Everything I want to write seems so banal. So here's the deal, at least 3 times a week I will post up one photo that I took that I would like to share with all of you out there.

Maybe I will add some commentary also.

Pulling # 18: Adventures in Dental Work

OK, so today I had my tooth pulled out. #18 to be precise, the last molar (bottom left) not counting my wisdom tooth; which has also been gone for more than a decade BTW. I was sweating up a storm while the doctor pumped me full of local anesthesia and boy is it starting to tingle now!

Well first off, she numbed it really well, i mean everything from my left ear to my throat was completely unfeeling.

Now the feeling is returning and it is not a joy. I think I'm still bleeding like a stuck pig too....
