14 June 2009

I absolutely love that color of green...
Blades of layered steel, some people say that it's Damascus steel but I think that "Damascus steel" is at best a misnomer.
A Spanish or Italian style fighting knife. I almost bought it, but reason took over. :)

Nature's cool.

I have had a good time this morning. I woke up really early like 05:15, then I got dressed and went to get doughnuts. then i started to clean my garage but the idea of leaving all that stuff out in the rain was not a good idea so I got m'self a big honkin' cup of joe. I took some pictures of some flowers then I watch a mama robin teaching a young robin how to hunt. It was the cutest thing so far today. Mama would move a bit then Junior would emulate the action. This sequence went on for sometime when the little one started to find worms on it's own; now comes the fun part. There were two other birds that sneaked onto the scene. I'm not sure but from the Mom bird's reaction to there presence they must ahve come to steal food away from the little one. She immediately jumped into flight and began tearing into the other birds! First one then the other she ran them off, meanwhile Junior was still doing the little bouncy movement that robins use to get into contact with their prey. Then mama came back but wouldn't you know it those other birds had returned. The weird part is that you can see similar behavior in Humanity and most of the other beasts on the planet. Bully shows up parent tries to protect and teach the younger ones and the bullies come back. So we're not so far removed from Nature as some may think....

I'll stop by later with some picstures. right now i have a gaming convention to attend.

I had forgotten this was here.

OK so I don''t write my friends and I don't call my mother.....come to think of it I tend to stay out of the way as much as I can. So this whole blog thing can be a bit well, annoying really, I mean what do you write about?
I have some very articulate and funny humans that I follow on the web ( Hi Janiece, and Angie and Ben!) so why not me???
Well I'll see what I can do.......
